    Beretta 92s (Differences)

I've always enjoyed shooting the Beretta 92 and I figure that it's time to start seriously looking for one.

So what's the difference between the 92 variants?

    92
    92FS
    92D
    92 Inox

    etc.

    Any guidance, here?

It boils down to what you want in terms of safety/decocker. I'm not sure which ones are cert'd for CA, but here it goes:

      FS - Decocker and Safety
      G - Decocker only
DS - Double action only with safety
      D - DAO, no safety

The FS and G are the only variants certified in CA. Inox means stainless steel slide and barrel.

I have a 96. Nice gun. I do find it a bit inaccurate compared to other guns in the same price range, but it has the upside benefit of being an easy gun to clean.

And then you can get the old models with the frame mounted safety, DA/SA
