Turners' weekly ad has Ruger P95 9mm on sale for $299 and change. For my first centerfire handgun, I was at first set on .38 special or .357 mag, but now I'm more into 9mm pistol, availability of bulk ammo being one of the reasons in 9mm's favor.
I would have bought P95 from Turners in an instant BUT FOR AB962. I don't have the funds to stock up on 9mm ammo right now, and come Feb 2011, I won't be able to buy 9mm ammo without onerous paperwork and fingerprint.
So, I held myself back from buying it this weekend. The situation totally sucks!
I check Calguns everyday hoping for the good news that AB962 has been repealed or struck down in court.
By the way, insofar as I researched, Ruger P95 is a solid gun. Anyone knows or experienced to the contrary?
