Can anyone tell me wether or not a sig 229 sport can be shipped to my ffl from someone else in CA, or would it have to be a PPT?

Depends on whether or not it's on the roster. There are a number of Sig 229's on the roster.

Choose Sig Sauer Inc (J P Sauer and Sons) and sort on model. You will get a list; check to see if the 229 you are interested in is on the roster. If on the roster, it can be shipped to your CA dealer. If not, it's a PPT where both of you must appear in person at the same CA dealer.
Alternately, the other party can take it to their FFL and ask if it can be shipped intrastate from CA Dealer to CA Dealer.
I don't see it on the roster; but might be overlooking it.Life Member NRA and 2A Foundation.
