    Glock 30 sf problems

I have a question about the glock 30sf. I heard that there were problems with ftf's and fte's I was wondering if there are still problems with the gun or if they are good now and as reliable as what glocks should be.

I have a newer N Serial Number 30SF and have not had issues with it.

How many rounds do you have you put through it?

I had one, MTE XXX serial number. I had nothing but problems with it from the start. Failure to return to battery, failure to feed, a full magazine would never seat properly and once popped out of the well after the first shot.

Glock customer service left a lot to be desired. I sold the gun and bought a Heckler & Koch USP Compact .40 cal. Much better handgun for me.

Go to GlockTalk and put G30sf in the search engine. There were multiple threads and thousands of posts about this gun and some of the problems people were having. Including a thread that had narrowed down which series of guns and manufacture dates were revealing the most problems.

About 150. I have over a 1000 through my regular G30. The 30SF and the 30 are not as different as everyone makes them out to be. Either one will do you well. If you go to a shop and look at a 30SF rack the slide a cpl of times and then ask them if you can take the slide off. The problem 30SF will have a gouge developing on the trigger bar. Glocktalk www.glocktalk.com has pictures of the trigger bar wear mark.

Seems like the 30 and 36 are the problem children of the Glock Family. Weird how the 29 is built almost exactly like the 30 but you don't hear very many problems about them.

I have well over 3k through both my 36 and 30sf with no issues. I think I may have gotten lucky.

Hit and miss. The 30SF did have real problems. There's a new trigger bar that (if I'm not mistake) ends in -1- that has fixed the FTRB problems that plagued the 30SF. I think the 29SF had the same problems, but since there's far more users of the 30 there were more bad reports.
