1st, 2nd, & 3rd gen glock 19 mags

[TonyKat]

How can one tell the difference between the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd gen glock 19 mags. Are they visually identical in every way or are there minor differences?

Currently, there are nine generations of Glock magazines.

The 9th generation magazine is not pictured, it is similar to the 8th generation magazine but has a magazine release cut out on the left side of the magazine.

(top) 8th generation magazine. (bottom) 9th generation magazine.
