Hi Folks I have a Sig P 226 in 9mm. I'm trying really hard to close up my groups as much as possible. Any tips on the whole trigger control side of things. I'm using a two handed grip with both eyes open and aiming at the centre of the black rather than a 6 o clock hold.

Assuming there's nothing wrong with your grip, stance and sight picture...
Remember to press through the DA first shot. Don't stage the trigger. After that, trigger reset is your friend when shooting SA. Once you understand those fundamentals...

DA: press straight back and straight through in one smooth motion
SA: press when your sights are aligned, stop (but don't release) when they drift off, press some more when they are back on target
those are the basics.
more information would make it easier to offer suggestions:
when you say "tighten", what size groups are you talking about and at which distance?
how much finger are you using on the trigger?
which grip are you using?
where are you located?
are you shooting indoors or outdoors?
i took a new shooter to the range with their new Glock 19 and had them printing inside 2" @ 7 yards within about hour
i had another client who took his new LE trade-in 226 to an indoor range and we verified that he could hold and sight well enough to drop rounds on top of each other at a bit less distance...the indoor lighting was terrible...because the journey is the worthier part...The Shepherd's TaleComment
