Assembling rebuild kits into 10 rnd cap mags

Sincef they are plastic, can I get away with using epoxy to seal thm from being readily modified back to normal cap?

Maybe a rivet through the floor plate would be viewed as more permanent. I recently had the same issue with converting some AR mags and ended up riveting through a hole in their base plate.

Why would you ruin a rebuild kit if there is a 10 factory mag available? Almost always 10 round mags will be considerable cheaper than their hi cap counterparts.
I think it can be confirmed that an alien xenomorph is absolutely no match for good ole' Alabama black snake!

oh really? Online prices are between $29 and $39 for a 10 round G19 mag. Thanks but I'll convert a rebuild kit that I got for half those prices.

I made a wood spacer or plug to limit my CZ mags to 10 rounds. I drilled a hole thru the magazine and the wood spacer and epoxied a metal rod thru it, ground it flush with the surface on both sides and was done.

With the rod visible LE can quickly see that it's permantantly pinned to hold not more than 10, plus if you ever left California you could convert them back by simply drilling out the rod a little on each end to release the plug.

the plastic used in all polymer gun parts is very difficult to adhere to. i would never trust just epoxy or any kind of glue on it as the primary means of fastening. mechanical fasteners(rivets, pins, etc) all the way for me.

this is a very gray area of the law. Even factory 10 round magazines can be converted to hold more rounds. They are usually rib stamped on the sides of the body to prevent full double stacking. All you do is cut out the ribbing in the mag body and it will suddenly hold an illegal number of rounds for CA.
