Some Issues On big dot sight

My brother just got back his gun from the shop ( got his xs big dot sight ) .
We went to the range to try it out . we shot about 100 rounds through it and noticed shooting very low . 10yards about 4-5inch low .

at first , we thought it was just us .. so , we asked ppl worked there try it out .
after 3 workers taking a turns .. results were same ..

I have did some research on these sight and found out some shooters and same issues . then , i went ahead looking at pictures to compare installation . it did not look same ! maybe that is the issue ?

here are some pics of the rear sight .. can you guys maybe look at yours and compare ? i can tell front sight installation was good . but not the rear .. it seems , installed very low ..

i love looking at mirrors to see what's in peoples bathrooms.

Just giving you a friendly bump for someone that might know the answer.

      He must have a cat

It does look a bit odd. I wonder if they didn't screw up and install the rear sight for a GI?

You aren't sighting with the top of the front sight at 10 yds I hope.

          My thoughts exactly.

When shooting within 15 yards, your point of impact should be the center of the dot.

Here's an image of what your sight picture should be:

Here's a video for what you should be doing:

If that doesn't help, how did the pistol shoot before installation? Hopefully the problem isn't with the gun.

OP- I am very much NOT an Expert on this. But my guess is that rear sight is kinda big so its hard to "focus on the front sight" when you cant see the whole thing?

Just a stab from my end.

learn the gun... the sights can be incredibly fast...

It's shooting low because you're aiming low. I got the opportunity to handle and shoot a pistol with XS sights. Like other posters have said... you can't use them like standard 3-dot sights. To get on target you have to cover up the x-ring with the big dot. Counterintuitive at first but very fast once you get used to it.
