    RUGER CHARGER

Since it's legal to import single shot AR and AK pistols, would it be possible to import a Ruger Charger as a single shot and with a bullet button? I would really like one.

Yes, But you would have to find someone to design a maglock and then make a 0-round mag. I dont know the Charger's dimensions off hand so make sure that its dimensionally compliant too.

Wouldn't Ojisan know about a maglock for the Ruger Charger?

I've wanted one of these for a while too. Someone was asking PRK in Fresno about it (they did some GSG pistols in similar fashion) but I never heard one way or the other. Maybe if we get enough people to commit, someone will do a CA legal conversion. I'm in!!

Ojisan will hook you up. He developed a mag lock and singe shot mag. I shot his Charger at the range and it was neat.

Ojisan is a calguns.net member. You can use that link above, which is his website. Or click on my name and view my profile. Then look to the right for my (69Mach1) friends list and find him if you want to PM him.

What fun is a 10 round .22 pistol. I want one as well but it'll make me sad when I use it.

every 22 pistol i have has a 10rd or less capacity. If you took a regular 10/22 mag and filled it with epoxy, that would be a Zero capacity mag. Then you just need to come up with a mag lock. Should not be that hard for the 10/22 design.

                          Or you could try this.
                          The following statement is true.

I emailed with Ojisan and PRK arms in Fresno and it IS possible to get a Charger converted and legal in CA. There would be some expense, of course, which leads me to my next question:

Is it legal to purchase a stripped Ruger Charger receiver in CA? I've seen them advertised for under $100 and since (like a 10/22) aftermarket barrels, stocks, etc. are everywhere for them and legal for sale and shippment anywhere, this might ultimately be a better way to go. So, can I just order a Crarger receiver and have it sent to my FFL??

Yes. If you want to make it into a rifle.
