    I want a Sig

I'm not familiar with Sig. I am familiar with Glock, HK, Beretta, Walther, S&W, Springfield, Kahr, KelTec, etc. Just not sigs.

I'm looking for some insight on Sigs.

    School me.

If I get many my wife will kill me. I need to get 1 or 2 at least. Then I'm sure it will 3 or 4.

After all, I started with 1 Beretta. Later on I thought I would build just one AR. Yeah right.

Your typical Sig has a 10/4.5lb DA/SA trigger. Also there is the DAK option, which stands for Double Action Kellerman a modified DAO set up.

The P-series features a steel slide and an aluminum frame. The Sig Pro and the P-250 series feature a steel slide with a polymer frame.

          Get one, you'll be happy!

PS. Some people criticize the DA/SA trigger group and cite that it require more training to master, it does. I think that criticism is overstated.

my first pistol last year was a sig 226 .40 I got a used .22 kit for it for a couple hundred bucks. Now I can shoot all the .22 I want, then change the slide in a few seconds, change mags, and poof..... .40

I hear there is one sig that is super modular.

I can shoot a playing card in half at about 7-10 yards. my 1911 is nice, but my sig, with some houge grips.......oooh baby!!
Im just a doode, playin' a doode, disguised as another doode

I like the DA/SA. You don't have to worry about a safety. I also like that they are easier to field strip. Enjoy!

theyre pretty good, i have two. i like my usp and my kimber more, but thats because i like to keep one in the chamber, and prefer a safety for that purpose. great guns for the range, and reliable. the swiss police turn-ins are a great bargain.

I think the P226[r] is one of the best full sized 9mm handguns available save the collector types like the H&K P7M8. If you're a 9mm shooter and looking to add another to the collection I'd highly consider that over other 9mm Sig variants although I'm sure you'd be happy with any.

Also, the P229 .40s&w or 9mm if you insist would make a great CCW. And no I'm not a "sig guy" I've only owned one I just appreciate anything interesting that works

Same here, I perfer USPs since they can be kept in condition-1 just like a 1911.

Purchased my first sig a few months back, shot 6-700rds through it without one issue, and its damn accurate too.

The police trade in SIGs are killer deals. I bought a P6 (which is a West German govt contract P225 with a few slight differences) and a P228, both PD trade-ins from Turners, both with some holster wear, but like-new inside.

I also have a P220, which is awesome if you must have a .45, and a P226/40 which is probably my favorite of the SIG family.

Next up is probably a P229, or maybe a P250, after I pay off my current Turners layaways.

CHeck out sigforum.com for a wealth of info.
