    It's official, just ordered a Glock 20!

Just ordered my first 10mm, a Glock 20 . Debated quite a bit between this and the 21, but ended up with the 10mm since this will be a woods gun. With ammo pricing about the same with 45 and 10 in terms of hollow points, and the 10 being better for 4 legged creatures, I figured what the heck. My G19 already got more range time than my 45 did for the past year, so I dumped my 45's for a 10. Any advice from my soon to be fellow 10mm shooters? Any upgrades like a heavier recoil spring? Leave it stock? I'm going to be ordering some DoubleTap: 10mm 230gr. WFNGC Hardcast, 10mm 200gr. Controlled Exp. JHP, 10mm 200gr WFNGC Hardcast, 10mm 200gr FMJ-FP. Sound like a good first 200 rounds?

Welcome to 10's! I have a 20C. The only thing I've changed is the recoil guide rod & spring. I went with a Wolff steel rod and spring in the stock weight rating. Buy more mags.

I would NOT run cast boolits out of a factory barrel. Just my .02 on the matter. Moly coated, plated or FMJ is your best bet.

Anyone try a G21sf with a 10mm conversion barrel? Get the best of both worlds.

I run a 22lb recoil spring mostly because I am loading much hotter than factory and it keeps my brass from flying 20+ feet away. I also have a 6" ported Lone Wolf barrel in it and shoot a lot of lead for plinking.

                      I turned my only G21 into a G20L:

The barrel is a factory G20 six-inch one:

Maybe I'll make the switch to 10mm someday. For now I'll stick with the 9mm.

I love my 9mm G19. It's the HD and range gun. 9mm doesn't do much for you in the woods, though ;-)

I just spoke with Double Tap. They recommend a stainless guide rod and 20 lb recoil spring. Is this necessary? If so, ISMI captured or Wolff uncaptured?
