But Ruger has been so good to me, P89, mini-14, singlesix, Blackhawk. There older models but I like Ruger! I have SW and Colt also.

A Ruger P89 was my first pistol... She was ugly but very reliable......

Say what you want about rugers. I buy them from guys all the time and I love them. They are stupid reliable and I think that my SR9 is everything that the Glock should have been, but isn't. Sold all my glock and will keep my rugers thanks! Flame away, its a chevy vs ford argument anyway...

I will definately be getting one sooner or later when they finally become available.

With a mag safety, LCI and Internal Locking Mechanism as its bigger brother, I can't see why it won't get into the DOJ roster list.

I will buy it after all the bugs are worked out. There was a recall on the the full-size SR9 if I'm not wrong.

Own a Ruger auto and wheel gun and i've had nothing but built-like-a-tank reliability from them all the time. I've fired thousands and thousands of rounds out of my .45 without a hiccup. Steel case, brass case, lead SWC's, Ball, HP, and anything you can imagine. Same as the super redhawk. People knock ruger because they don't like the politics and thats fine, but they still make solid firearms that continue to do the job they were intended.

When this one hits CA. I,m getting one I like Rugers.I,ve got nothing against Smiths I have one, not a fan of Glocks, but everybody has their own preference. My only problem will be keeping my daughter from confiscating it because she really likes to shoot my SR9.I just hope it comes with a reasonable price tag.

When that pistol hits the shelves of the gunshops in your area, then you better buy two 'cause your daughter will definitely want one. Or, you can get back your SR9 by letting her take the compact one.

I also have .45 Ruger Auto, the P90. You are right about how sturdy and reliable it is. It is definitely built-like-a-tank considering it has an alloy frame.
While it's not ideal for a carry pistol (weight), I sure keep it as my bedside pistol.

Do we have to wait until 2011 to see if this gun makes it on the list?

Since microstamping is not certified yet by AG (and can't be - see other threads) normal Rostering qualifications apply.

They gun will require a mag disco and an LCI, and given the existing full-size SR9 was Rostered, I don't see how this one can fail to be.
