Picked up my first Glock today

Picked up a brand new Glock19 and just got done installing trijicon night sights.
Can't wait to take it to the range !!!!

Any of you fellow G19 owners care to share any accessories I should look into for it ?

I too have a G19 that I bought about a year ago. Love the thing! Besides night sights (the Trijicon sights you mentioned are among the best) they really need nothing! I am glock forum reader and the general consensus is that the metal aftermarket guide rods are NOT needed so don't feel you need to buy one I certainly didn't.

As a word of advise don't remove the copper colored lube on the slide rails and ramp on the underside of the slide. That lube is designed to help break in the gun. Just clean around the lube it will shoot out eventually.

5 drops of oil is all that's needed to keep those things firing. I haven't had a single failure with mine having tried several makes and types of ammo.

Yea I wanted to replace the plastic ones that came on the Glock and it just so happened a friend of mine had a set he never put on his glock before he sold it and he sold them to me for 40.00 bucks !!

If you want a better grip. Get some decal grip, I prefer the rubber over the sandpaper.

Congrats on your first Glock! I bought a G19 many years ago, and sold it right away to a friend. Some day I'll replace it as I still want another G19.

There are quite a few accessories you can get for the Glock. I just ordered an extended slide stop, extended mag release, recoil buffer, meprolight tru-dot night sights and glock disassembly tool. Some other things you may want to consider are a light or light/laser combo, aftermarket barrel, extra magazines, holster, etc.

The night sights are probably the best modification you can do. I would not change anything on the pistol. Factory spec is going to be your most reliable option.

I bought a used 2G 19 a while ago. I have some night sights for it that I have yet to put on, and I think that's about it for mods. I love it just the way it is

and you wouldnt regret a nice underbarrel light, just DONT TIGHTEN IT TOO MUCH!!!! reason being the frame is not steel...

Welcome to the club inside the cult! I love my G19 and did only 2 mods- Night sights and the extended slide release.
