I want good/bad/neutral advice about any 9mm Smith & Wesson (Mod 56, I believe) that any of you members may have. I have a choice of a few, and have never owned any S&W pistol. I'd appreciate all advice and hints what to look for. My mind is made up on S&W, so don't try swaying me to another model, please!! Not right now. Do you have one for sale? LeoL.

The model 39/59 was the original Smith 9mm. They have a reputation for problems but the replacement pistol 439/459 were good pistols. I had a 459 that I purchased new in the 80s that was a great pistol.Check back later for a witty comment.Comment
