It's worth more than folks are willing to spend if that's any help.

If it's NIB, it's worth more than 8-850 ish. I'd say 9-950, maybe 1K. It's worth it to save $100 in taxes if it's new.

well, I'll just say I bought my 8 3/8s barrel .500, fewer than 100 rds down the pipe and near, for less than any price listed here so far. I am the third owner.

It's worth whatever people will pay. What people are willing to pay varies every day and it is different for each person who looks at your ad.

If you wanna sell it, list it and wait. If you have to sell it lower the price each week until you find a buyer.

A S&W 500 is a gun for the avid gun enthusiast. Most likely someone who reloads that caliber too. That dramatically shrinks the buyers market down to just a small percentage of all gun owners and probably calgunners. To sell it for what it is worth, you will probably have to be patient. Being NIB though you have a lot going for you as a PPT is a lot more desirable as compared to someone buying one from a shop. good luck.

                    Lets see some pics!

In this market, less than what it would bring 6 months ago, 12 months ago, etc.

The current market for everything is a buyers market.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.
