    Engraved Combat Commander Value?

    Hi all
I am posting a question for a friend. She is not a well-learned gun person, and I am not a well-learned Colt afficionado, so I thought I'd ask around here.

She inherited a Colt Combat Commander, 9MM, that is finely engraved and inlayed with what looks like gold. I forget some of the details of the engraving motif, etc. We went shooting a while back and she brought this out to plink!!

I told her it may be kind of valuable and that she may want to keep it pristine and get a shooter for use. I don't believe she has any box/paperwork, but wondering what a pistol like this may be worth. Condition is nearly unused, with 2 original mags.

Any info, or suggestions for further research, is appreciated.

Pictures will be needed to give an accurate estimate.

Need allot more info to give an accurate estimate.

      Who did the engraving?
      How old is the gun?
What's the detailed history of the gun?
      Any mods other than engraving?

Value is anywhere from $500 to $5000 +

One thing for sure, I would not shoot it again if she's interested in ever selling it.

      Good Luck.
