I already know what is acceptable and what it not, my problem is that I'm a 22yr old college student and I live with my pops. (no major bills ) What is he (I) supposed to write and have notarized? What is the paper supposed to say? Is there a template online one could simply fill out and sign? Im lost

Go online and find a rental agreement template. Fill it out, have him sign it, you sign it and take it to a notary to have it notarized. If you live with him, this will show your residency by a monetary value being assigned as rent that you pay each month. As long as it is notarized it will work.

if your car isn't registered to you or you don't have one go with the first response. Other than that, you can have your dad put one of the utility bills in your name for the time being, but then you'll have to wait for a bill to come with your name on it.

Do this but the notary bit depends on how your FFL wants it. Some will want it to be done bt others wont. Talk to your FFL just to be sure though.

as stated earlier I have no utility bills except for, gym bills,cell phone bills, student loan bills all of which my ffl said no to. as well as saying no to one of my pay stubs. As for car registration I drive a Company truck (my boss kicks ***) so its not under my name.

I don't pay my pops rent I just pitch in whatever he asks me to. So all these lease/rent templates want a fixed amount and a date of when I'll be inhabiting the abode (lol) and when I'll be leaving seem like a bit to much.... Can't I just write something out myself stating that I (my name) live under (pops name) roof (address) have him sign it then I sign it then we get it notarized?

If you dont like the look at some of the online templates, spend ~$10 for one from Office Depot or some other office supply store and fill it out. It has instructions on what to put down for the blank spaces. You can put some bogus amount for rent and write down the "house" rules that you want.

How about a C&R license? I pay all of my bills online and don't get any sort of hard copy. The bills that I don't pay are all in my wife's name.

This info is immaterial. Just put whatever you want in there. Your latest birthday could be the newest agreement which ends on your birthday next year and whatever you chip in is rent, e.g. $100, $200, etc per month. No one cares what the details are, as long as it is notarized it is a legitimate document that proves your residency, since it is notarized.

Do you think the FFL is going to deny you if you bring a notarized rental agreement that says you only pay $100 per month in rent? I doubt they would care as long as they can copy it and attach it for DROS requirements.

The gun is currently dros'ing so him giving it to me as a present is out of the question. Im gonna go with nickvig's advice and just fill out the form how its supposed to be filled out.... for those curious as to what I'm getting (I know I would be) here it is

yes there is that $19. but its a sure way of getting the gun in your name. A notary is gonna cost you at least $10 anyways plus whatever else you spend on getting the paperwork done. This way you know it will work and you can have it in your hands in 10 days.
