Feedback needed on a Delta Elite,

Hello my fellow Calgunners. Recently my neighbor informed me wants to get rid of his Colt Delta Elite. Barely fired and sat in his mattress for the last couple of years. I inspected it today mild staining on the barrel but everything else looks pretty damn good on it. What does everyone think a fair price would be and is it worth purchasing. I own a Glock 20 and love the 10mm round as a whole.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks people and happy holidays everyone.

others will chime in but I normally see them go for $800-$1000.

Thats what I was thinking. When I inspected the parts and barrel I didn't see much wear and tear not to mention he said he was the 2nd owner and had rarely shot it. I love 1911's and I thought the heft on this lil beauty was nice. You guys think this gun is a worthwhile investment? My experience with older guns are just the revolvers and shotguns I inherited.

i have seen one delta elite go up here for under 700 bucks and it went fast. real fast. one of these in good condition for sure is worth at least 800 or more. especially if you love 1911 and already shoot 10mm, it is a no brainer. Make an offer you are willing to live with and see if he accepts.

I love to have found one PPT for that price. my local shop just got a new production one in last week, but It's not on the non-unsafe list. So I had to drag my brother down there and force him to buy it mike ain't a gun guy &
kind of the black sheep of the family he dosn't own any non-issued firearms
when he brings his unit home every thing is locked in the rear box of the truck
or in the safe in the Garage. So I hope he might be willing to part with it pretty soon.

                Buy it.

If you can get the piece for less than 1K, you done well.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

Two years ago I saw a blue one sell for $800. Today I would estimate $900 plus for one in good condition.

Thank you guys for the feedback. I'm going to the range with the guy tomorrow and I will see if I can't make an offer to him we both can agree upon. I will update hopefully soon with pics.

It's an old gun with mattress stains (EEEEWWW!!!) on it. I'd offer him $150. If he laughs at you, offer him a real amount. Great gun, hope you get it!
