New Kimbers for 2010 - teaser

Hey guys, this is a sneak preview of sorts I suppose. I have received a list of new models for 2010 from Kimber but I don't want to leak out the information without permission from Kimber. I am waiting for a call back from our rep to find out if it is safe to post yet.

There are a lot of new guns coming out... new additions to current families and whole new families. As soon as I get a green light, I'll share what I know. Merry Christmas!

I have never seen an SIS in my life...and I think the only one I have seen in a picture was when it was in a gun magazine advertisement. Was it even a successful offering? The ad said the LAPD SIS used it...don't even know if that's true.

It seemed like a good mix of features for a duty, or nightstand, gun to have, but the "SIS" slide serrations were one of the ugliest things I've ever seen.

I had to look at it twice too when I saw it in the magazine picture. I'm not in love with it either.

If you click on the link provided, the first post is by a lonewolfdj. Click on his Kimber 1911 link in his post and you can see all of the Kimbers, just not the new ones yet as they haven't been released.

The big question: Is Kimber paying the extortion fee for the new guns to make "the list"? The SIS was for LAPD, yet never CA approved.

It's not just the extortion fee.
Most 1911's are no longer able to pass the criteria to get into California any more. As I understand it, that is why we never saw the SIS. I have no doubt someone will correct me if I am wrong, but we will probably not see anything new here.
