    AR pistol and bipod legal?

Simple as the title. Is using a bipod with a AR pistol legal? I'm afraid they may say it can be used as a verticle grip of sorts.

a true bipd, not a grip-pod (a VFG that has a bipod that pops out the bottome) should be legal. At least it is federally. As an example, Ruger sells the Charge pistol with an attached bipod and it isn't an AOW.

The fact that a bipod could be used as a type of VFG doesn't not neccessarily make it a "second handgrip" for CA law.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

yup physically the bipod can act as a foward vertical grip and the buffer tube can act as a buttstock but they are not legally a vertical grip or a buttstock
