Contemplating on buying a glock 29

for some reason i would love to have a 10mm. I think this would be a perfect piece for me. Even though ammo is hard to find i dont plan to shoot this one too often.

Best bet is to reload your own 10 mm, components are not tough to find for it since most of the .40 stuff works with it. Plus Factory ammo seems to run a bit, even if you run a single stage it would be worth your while

      Georgia Arms

One of the better sources of 10mm commercial target ammo has been Georgia Arms, a mail order vendor. Their 10mm is priced at about $19.50 per 50 rounds in 1000 round bulk containers. They are currently out of stock due to component shortages. Shipping and CA use tax are extra.

        Georgia Arms makes good ammo.
They supply .45GAP ammo to some of the LE agencies in GA.

I personally wouldn't buy Georgia Arms. There was a thread on Glock Talk about an ammo induced KB with Georgia Arms ammo. I'll try finding it in a bit....

If it's not for CCW, I would suggest the G20. You'll get better performance out of the longer barrel, and have the option of dropping in a 6" barrel for even better performance. But if you're stuck on the G29, get it. Just like everyone here says that everyone should own atleast one 1911, I think everyone should own atleast one 10mm. My G20SF is my favorite handgun to shoot.

Are you going for the regular model or the SF? The 10mm glocks have always tempted me.

I have alot of guns in the safe but... my Vokmann custom 1911, my glock 20 and my 342 are what accompany me when I'm off duty...get a .40 sw barrel and be happy...

I have a G29 and have fed thousands of rounds of Georgia Arms and Double Tap through the factory barrel. No issues yet.

You can see the "glock smiley" on the spent brass where the brass is not fully supported, which is why I only shoot new brass through the factory barrel. Get an aftermarket barrel for shooting reloads with used brass. Used brass in factory barrels is the usual cause for KB's in 10mm's.

It shares the bullet and powder but what powder doesn't work in multiple calibers? Powder that works great in a 40 might not be the best for a 10. The 10 uses LPP the 40 uses small.

I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

That's cool. There's plenty of people on Glock Talk that seem to frown on G.A. When I read that kind of input, I tend to pay attention. The issue was a round was out of spec (too long).
