Will the 10 round CA legal magazines work in the 17 round pistol model?

Also, is it legal to posses the 17 round model in CA?

They are the same gun, different mags.

The bottom 1/3rd of the 10 round mag is plastic. Other that that they are the same. As for owning a 17 round mag, the SR9 was manufactured after the hi cap ban took effect. Personally I wouldn't because of you got stopped you would have alot of explaining to do.

I was just wondering because i usually spend my whole summer in Wyoming and it wont hurt to have a couple "high" cap magazines in storage up there.
