Now that machining the slide is no longer and issue, what sights do you recommend for a vision challenged senior who want to have a little local IDPA fun?

I looked at a gun with the orange fiber optic front sight, and it appeared brilliant.

what say you?

send it to Novak's... they do a great job and will reblue the slide when they are done machining...had my BHP done... was like 175.00 for the fiber optic front and black rear..kinda cool..if favor green fibers...

At a local gunshop the other day I was showed a shotgun with red dot rear sights and green front sight. Lit up bright as day. I wear progressive lenses nowadays and sighting a firearm isn't getting any easier for me, neither..

I'm thinking of replacing a set of sights on my old Colt 1911 Model 70 with the fiber optic sight sets..

with my bifocals... I have trouble lining up three balls ....with just the front one glowin' all pretty like and the rear nice and black... it is crazy fast... shot it in uspsa matches for kicks and got alot more hits than I deserved...esp. since i couldn't reload the dang thing fast enough...
