Best Pocket Pistol

If you were to carry a small pocket pistol for personal protection, which would you choose? J Frame? What model? I have a Kimber CDP Ultra, but you couldn't put that thing in your pocket.

J frame sounds good (with hammer shroud). About as reliable as it gets. No slides to get caught on anything (rear sight/slide).

Just try to keep the idea (training) that this isn't a spray and pray gun /Clint Smith/ Or the mere presentation may diffuse the situation.

While I don't really care for small revolvers much, it'd be a 340PD. I like the idea of firing through a jacket pocket if need be, something which would jam a semi-auto.

Ruger LCP, Keltec 3AT, Kahr PM9 small and pocket easily.

IMO J frames really are not pocket pistols. I would rather have a G26 in my pocket than a J frame.

For pocket carry, the Kahr PM9 is too big and heavy. The 'pocket' revolvers dwarf the PM9, so I don't really consider that a good option, either. Unless you have HUGE pockets. The Ruger LCP is about as good as it gets for true comfy pocket carry, followed by the P380 from Kahr.

Here's mine. It's a S&W J frame Model 432PD in .32 H&R Magnum (holds 6 rounds) with Crimson Tracer laser grips.

Obviously the smaller you go the easier you can pocket it, but any smaller than a PM9 and you're carrying a .380...which is fine if you wanna go that route. Time to trade in the skinny jeans for some regular pants!

Got to disagree with you on this one. Without a cylinder the PM9 is much thinner (i.e., flatter) than a revolver and loaded it only weighs 19 oz. Tight pants? use the weakside back pocket.

The Bersa Thunder in .380 could be the best choice under $300.00. I have owned 1 for over a year and find it easily slips into the pocket of my Levis. I also think it is reliable and reasonably accurate.
