While I'm sure you can find it somewhere it's not a good idea to run straight unjacketed lead rounds through your Glock due to the Polygonal lands and grooves in Glock barrels. It's my understanding this can create overpressures causing problems. Possibly I'm mistaken and I'm sure someone on here will correct me if this is so.

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

I have heard that before, but I have also heard guy’s say they have over 10,000 lead rounds thru there’s with no problem.

I need to know where they are getting it, a range up here will only allow lead rounds.

BunnySlayer is correct. Google the S&W .40 and Glock and read about the problem.

You can shoot a few hard cast lead bullets through a Glock, but you need to pay attention to lead fouling in the barrel. You get too much of it and it will create high pressure producing kaboom or case head separation.

Very enlightening video, I wonder how many rounds he fired without cleaning the gun. Your advice is well taken, 99% of my shooting well be with FMJ

You could always buy a replacement barrel that has standard rifling in it and shoot lead all day long. I think Lone Wolf barrels have standard rifling, but I do not own one.
I do have a standard rifled KKM barrel in my competition G35 and shoot lead regularly without any issues.

Lone Wolf barrels usually run about $100, KKMs are about $175 but they are match grade.
