I'm a resident of FL and CA my buddy is going to sell me a pistol in the state of FL there is no paper work needed in FL to complete the transfer but now i want to register that pistol to CA what do i need to do?

i almost think you would have to have it transferred to a CA FFL, but i am not sure. If not the above sounds correct.
