Smooth or Serrated Trigger for HD Glock 19?

My last Glock had a smooth trigger, and I am going to pick up a 19, should I leave the serrated trigger in there or change it out for a smooth one? What do you guys prefer for HD?

with the serrations, your finger will remain in place and tend more toward pressing straight back, a smooth surface will allow some movement across the trigger face and could result in off vector forces...it does require that you place the finger correctly when you establish your master grip

There are no 3.5 triggers from Glock.

Glock has a 3.5 lb connector, which in essence is a 3.5 lb trigger.

I'm curious about other opinions on the smooth/serrated trigger question. A smooth trigger does allow movement of your finger, but it's not a detrimental thing. I would think it would prevent finger movement from effecting aim, but with my G19 I don't have any issues with this that I know of.

Smooth. I find I feel more comfortable trigger pull with the smooth. Also you can order a 3.5 connector for any online store. Google search glock parts 3.5 connector. They part should only cost about 10-15 bucks. While you are at it, order the extended slide stop lever.

I find that the G19 doesn't need the extended slide stop release. The spring isn't stiff enough to need any extra leverage, at least for me. My G20 on the other hand absolutely needed it.

The Glock was designed to have a smooth trigger face, and the only reason why the serrated trigger face was developed so that the Glock would earn enough ATF "import points" to be imported into the US. A serrated trigger face allows the trigger to be considered a "target" trigger, which earns more ATF import points. The only Glock for which a smooth trigger assembly is not available is the Model 36. For all other models, you simply install the trigger assembly from the corresponding full size model. In other words, for the Glock 19 and 26, you install a Glock 17 trigger to get the smooth version.

Either is fine. If I had to make a choice smooth face trigger is my choice. However the serrated trigger also works.
