    Wife at the Range

I hesitate to post this picture because obviously she's doing several things wrong.

But those of you who are married understand that wives want to do things their way first, and resist being told what to do and how to do it by their husbands.

She's shooting some non+P ammo S&B ammo, but it was still pretty hot in the J frame snub. (S&B's European spec's are really +P American)

Since this session she's standing, gripping, and shooting MUCH better. But she had no fear of anything we shot that day...NONE.

(added at CT laser grip to her M36 snub and she now lives in COM land)

Nope, she changed her grip, I lowered the recoil with different ammo, and she's shooting comfortably and more accurately now.

Still tends to lean back when she's packing a pair of 38's though.

Looks like she has a S&W 642,hammerless and NOT pink grips. Does she like it? My wife does and she also listens (AS WELL AS OTHERS)to me what I tell her at the range. She has now moved up to a .44 magnum. Not me, but it would be nice. The pistol. SAFETY FIRST!

          It's a nickel Model 36 w/semi-bobbed hammer.

With these grips she's deadly about to about 21 feet now:

You're a smart man! Let them learn and adjust at there own pace. In my mind the most important thing is that she likes to shoot, and enjoys the sport. When she see enough proper stance, grip ect...... she will eventually try and perhaps adjust to more proven methods.

I've seen allot of women have that tendancy to lean back while shooting. Ask her to lean into it and she'll likely find she has much more control.

FWIW, I have to remind my wife everytime she goes shooting with me. Same thing everytime she starts out leaning back, I asker her to lean into it a bit and then she starts having allot more fun and control.

                      Yes, they seem to.

                      In her case it's a gravity/balance/fulcrum issue.

She's a little bit front heavy.

I LOVE shooting my husband's AR. Not much recoil and just plain fun! Wish we could go shooting with it more!

The only issue I would have is the lack of eye protection. I'm assuming that she has ear plugs in.
