New gun

ok, I am going to buy a new gun. the only problem is i have no idea what to get. I have and love my springfield 1911 TRP in stainless. i also now own 2 xd45s which i also love. i also have a beretta px4 storm 9mm which i do not like. my questions to you is what new gun should i get? i have a budget of about $1000. dont want a DA/SA gun and not sure on caliber. i was trying to stay t 9mm or 45. not impressed with the 40. i was thinking of something a little different. or maybe another 1911. what do you guys think?

Sounds like you are looking for another handgun, but you might want to clarify.

Since you have a 1911 and two XD's already, don't want DA/SA, would like something different all under $1000.00, here are my suggestions:

- P7 (P7/PSP/M8) The M8 will likely cost you over 1K depending on condition.
- Single action revolver in .45

How about a SIG P226 DAK (9mm) or P220 DAK (45acp)? HK USP? Or how about a revolver? And sell the PX4 to fund another handgun or rifle.

You want something really different that is a hoot to shoot ?
Uberti Richards-Mason Colt 1860 Conversion 5.5" in 38 special. {about $400.00} The 1860 has the LONG grip frame and it is an open top. They make an 1872 conversion also ,but it only comes in an 8" barrel. Both also come in .45 LC.

I would get a Glock 34 if you are after an excellent target gun. Spend the extra money on good sights, holster, magazines and ammo. Then get started in IDPA or USPSA. This will bring shooting to a new level.
