    Jericho 941

I seen a video on YouTube about this handgun, I know it has a hi-cap magazine which is a no-no in our not so great state, but aside from that if it were available with a 10 rnd mag are these legal in CA?

Does anyone own one or has seen one, assuming they are legit of course?

    Thanks

The IWI Jericho 941 = CZ75 clone with slide mounted safety/decocker.

KBI originally imported the IMI Jericho 941 back in the 1990s.
Mossberg was the next importer of the IMI Jericho 941 and renamed it the Uzi Eagle.
Magnum Research Inc then became the importer of the IWI Jericho 941 and renamed it the Baby Desert Eagle.
KBI has recently taken over as the importer of the IWI Jericho 941 and have opted to keep the original name.

Magnum Research Inc. currently has four different Baby Desert Eagles on the approved list.
    Baby Dsrt Eagle MR4500RS / Steel Pistol 3.9" .45 ACP 1/29/2010
    Baby Dsrt Eagle MR9400 / Steel Pistol 4.52" .40 S&W 1/29/2010
    Baby Dsrt Eagle MR9900 / Steel Pistol 4.52" 9mm 12/31/2009
    Baby Dsrt Eagle MR9900RB / Steel Pistol 3.64 9mm 12/31/2009

I own a 941 and they are legal in California. But they are not on the approved-list, so if you want one, you'd have to find one already in the state. I love it!

I have not seem one in store for at least a year. Nice gun. But a CZ is just the same and with a better positioned safety/decockeder (IMO of course). There were few model that had frame mount safety but rarer amount rare.

Too bad KBI is importing them now because we can't get any new ones! The Baby Eagle was on the list, but Magnum Research doesn't import them anymore so that does us no good!

By the way, I've got a full size Baby Eagle in 9mm and I really like it. It's definitely worth the effort to find one (or a Jericho).

Hadn't really thought about the impact of changing the name of the firearm from "Baby Eagle" to "Jericho". My BE which I bought 3 years ago has no mention of "Baby Eagle" on the firearm.

Why would the change of importer, not manufacturer (still made by IWI) affect the availability on the list?

I would assume that KBI would need to pay the renewal fee rather than go through the process of testing. I also believe this could ialso apply to the Baby Desert Eagle w/rail (i.e. Glock w/ and w/o rail).
