    Springfield Champion 45acp

    Hi all,
This afternoon I went to Bain & davis to look at a Sig 225 ( police trade ), then I saw a Champion looks very clean, so I bought it. I just checked the DOJ, it's not listed for CA. Now this gun was a Consignment piece, is it ok for me to purchased ? Any opinion or advice would be helpful. Thanks.

yup, consignment (aka PPT) doesn't need to be DOJ approved....which is another reason the "safe gun list" is rediculous! you're fine, enjoy!!! if you want proof there's a link on the CGN homepage to the safe gun list roster and at the top it explains that PPT are exempt.

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

Since when did the Champion fall off the roster? I looked it's still on there, it's listed under the model number, not the name. The Colt Commander is the same way...

Which "Champion" is it? Champion is their designation for a 4" barrel 1911. Stainless? GI? LW? Operator (not on the list)?
