    sterling pistol

Have yall seen this? A Sterling pistol in 7.62x25 at JG Sales. Is this good to go for us. Ill get one if its GTG. Maybe DDs Ranch or Atlantic can hook us up.

I couldnt get the link to work, sorry. Super cool pistol in a hot round.

It's an assault weapon (pistol with detachable magazine outside pistol grip) and most certainly not on the CA handgun roster. The usual AW games can be played to make it legal to possess, but it would need to be imported as a single-shot pistol to get it into the state.

Needs to be made into a single-shot pistol, in order for it to be legal for importation into CA.

After it gets to CA and is DROS'd, it can be modified into a semi-auto pistol with a fixed 10 round magazine.

I've heard these guns reliability is horrible as they stand in there current configuration (from several honest gun salesman/companies). I found a company willing to make them ca compliant but was told it'd be a poor investment. Believe me I want one of these pistols badly; but I'm opting to wait until there reliability is improved before I spend close to $600 for the piece.

Way too much trouble to get it into CA. Invest your money on a CZ 52 or Tok. Or if you are looking for carbine, PPHS 41 can be have for $800~1000.

You would need an out-of-state middleman FFL to receive the Sterling pistol from J&G for you. You would have to then:

            (1) design and manufacture a bullet button device for it,

            (2) you would have to make a single shot sled out of a Sterling magazine,

            (3) ship both items to the middleman FFL, who would install them for you.

Once both devices are installed, the middleman FFL could then ship the single-shot pistol to your local OLL-friendly FFL to transfer to you. Only then, are you GTG.

I thought Norse Armory in Woodland was selling these as single shots?

A rep from Henderson Defense said they'd do it, but they'd just throw a bolt where the magazine latch is and weld the follower (making it single shot-similar to the Dracos)to make it CA Legal. But the rep also told me they've been having a lot of issues with the pistols and recommended I wait awhile for Weslite to fix their issues.

In that case, I think you might be unlucky there, since Wise Lite Arms quietly closed for business to "restructure", last month.

Or maybe he got lucky by not buying a POS that's not going to have any support.

The reliable information provided by Henderson Defense and its reps is why I will continue to throw my business there way. PS ordering a second. Draco from you at Henderson Defense.

When WLA fixes there issues I will most defintely place an order with Henderson Defense for a sterling pistol (esp. If the calgun user I pm'd regarding a BB for the pistol comes through for me.).
