No 30-day wait IIRC. The 1911 is a PPT.

If you can get that 1911 for $700, do it!
I sold a Kimber Eclipse awhile back on this site for $900. And it was not in perfect shape cosmetically.
I oun more than a few 1911's. I prefer the Kimber's over even my higher end pistols. Some people claim they have issues with Kimbers built with the external extractors they used for a few years. I've never had a problem.

he is selling it to me for $700. is this a good price? thanks
Maybe, maybe not. I've heard many stories about Kimber builds, mostly good, but some have problems. That's enough for me, having no interest in target practice. Give me an old fashioned GI .45 with a sloppy action filled with mud, that still shoots. Every time.

Ok, but a true test is done while hanging from a snare on a moonless night in a rain drenched jungle. First, disassemble, then reassemble the pistol, then fire ten clips (70 rounds) in less than 100 seconds, while blindfolded. Don't worry, with these limitations, only 7 out 10 rounds need to penetrate the x-ring! Oh, and the range master will keep you swinging gently to and fro by the rope attached to your ankle. Points will be deducted if you injure or kill the range master.

              Good luck!
