    Issue with CMC magazines

I bought 2 CMC stainless steel magazines for my stock 45 Gov. I dry fit them and they worked ok. So, I filled each magazine with 8 rounds then loaded in my pistol.

The magazine was stuck and would not eject. I had to applied a lot of pressure on the button (using two hands) in order to release and eject the magazine, which eventually popped out for about a quarter inch from the butt.

Is this a common problem with the CMC magazines? Could you please give me advices on how to fix this problem? Thank you for your help.

Did you load the magazines w/the slide forward? If so, then I'd say this is common for most 8-round mags.

Remember, this gun was originally designed to only hold 7 rounds in the magazine.
    This is my sig line.

i have 4 cmc power mags and have the same problem intermittently with my 1911. However, they were empty mags and not loaded. I've noticed when i encounter this problem and the mag does not release, the slide does not lock back as well. My ACT mags does not have this problem.

I did load the magazine with the slide forward. I did not want to check the magazine functionality with a hot pistol. I will have to try loading with the slide locked back at the range. Thank you for the input.

I recently bought 2 CMC mags and one of them wouldnt fall free when I pressed the mag released. I exchanged it for a new one that slides right out.

Wow, weird. I've got a boatload of stainless 8rd CMC's and they all work flawlessly. That's why I keep buying them!
