CCI Blazer is good ammo. I've fired 9mm/.45 ACP/.40 S&W/.38 special/.357 magnum loads through the years and no issues at all. It has non-reloadable cases, that's the drawback.

Blazer Aluminum is a great choice for practice ammo. I use it all the time in my Sig and it's been 100% reliable. Buy it and shoot it unless you can get brass cased ammo for cheaper (if you reload/keep your brass).

I've only ever used their rimfire cartridges, but I've never met a CCI round that I didn't like and that didn't agree with the weapon being used.

I use CCI Blszer Brass for practice and Federal Hydra Shoks for Defense.

In rimfire, CCI is THE BEST, period. Best ignition, nice projectiles. Maybe not absolute tops in accuracy but the best in personal defense in both 22LR (Stingers) and 22Mag (MaxiMag+V and +V/TNT) - good slugs and centerfire-level ignition reliability.

In centerfire they range from "good" to "excellent". Some loads are superb defense rounds, including the 200gr 44Spl with a Gold Dot hollowpoint projectile. None are "junk" or "bad for the gun".

                    CCI is owned by Speer.

Well if anyone is interested in some 45, 40, 9, from CCI let me know I can get it shipped to you.
                      Thanks for all the info.

While CCI is generally good, I've had a lot of FTE issues using the aluminum cased 9mm in my CZ75B (lots of stovepipes). It seems to be a bit weaker than other practice ammo.

$20 a box is pretty expensive. The 9mm works great in all my 9's, and the 45 is good too.

I've only used CCI in my Model 66 and only the .38Sp stuff. It's nice, but the loads seem lighter than even the range stuff. Outside of that caliber I can't really comment I'm afraid.
