I have recently purchased a USP Compact .45ACP pistol. It's the DA/SA model with the decocker/safety lever. Anyways when assembled the pistol makes a funny noise like something is loose. If you wave the pistol up and down it sounds like something is sliding around in there. I realize that this sound is from a plasic spacer that is positioned on the recoil spring. If i remember right that plastic spacer was in there when I bought the gun brand new. What's the deal is it installed wrong? Can I remove the spacer? I find it in bad taste a pistol makes that noise.

My friends' and family's compacts do not make any noise. I've read others having a similar problem on hkpro or hkusa. Doesn't seem to affect anything. Have u tried lubing it with out to maybe cut down on the chatter a little? That whould annoy me too.
