What would you do... Glock 17 or XD

Really like the XD but I have the free state Glock mags. Just throwing it out there for opinions. 10's or 17's, what would you do? My only bias is wasted space.

Two very good choices. I like the feel and handling of the XD9 better than the G17 though. I've shot both before making my mind up. I sure do want a G19 though I love the size. Did I mention I'm selling my XD45

Damn I dont shoot .45 and I dont think I should start chasing another caliber. So tell me more, why dont you want the XD45?

Those are both good choices. I think it really depends on what feels better in your hands. Glocks and XDs have different handle to barrel angle.

I went with the XD9 because it was cheaper at the time (early Jan of this year) and they had a good special where Springfield would send you two free mags and mag holders. So it came with a lot of goodies that just sold me. But the performance of it is superb and I couldn't be happier. But as always it always depends on you. Go to a store and ask how each feels in your hand and you wont be wrong on which ever one you buy.

Both are good shooters, I would go with the Glock since you already have this.

I went XD and love it. Lots of aftermarket and it was shooting 6" and under groups off hand at 25 yards from a 3" subcompact. No complaints here. Plus I like the grip safety as an added bonus.

I got one of the early XD's actually the first one to pop into my local gunstore and the finish was crap and it was a jamomatic I sold it to my uncle to get a glock 17 and never looked back. The XD I got was right when they came out and they had finish problems among other things my uncle has worked the bugs out and he is a XD fan now and owns a XD service in .40 cal as well. I would choose a glock over a XD over and over again.

depends what feels good in your hands. The glock doesn't feel as natural to me compared to the xd's and it points weird when I aim also.

I have an XD and have shot many glocks. IMHO, XD just feels a lot better in my hands. Although I have never been too fond of glocks. So, I would go with the XD.
