New CZ-75

I just bought a NIB early import CZ-75 yesterday. It's unfired, and has the original box and all the paperwork including the test target. I remember this model from a nmber of years ago when CZs were really hot and super tough to get, even at $900 plus. I've never shot one but it sure felt good in the hand (Kinda like and old bar of soap). I paid $300 for it, so I couldn't pass it up. Any input on the CZ? The double action was very smooth, and although the single action pull was fairly light, it had a bunch of creep. Anyone know of decent smiths for trigger work?

I have the 75SA, I prefer single action.
This is my favorite CCW pistol, I know I can relie on it at any givin moment.
It has never hickuped once and it puts all 10 rounds in one hole off the bench. The triggers do need some work. Mine was done by a freind and no is awsome.

I too have a CZ75 but mine is the "B" version and in 40 S&W. I bought it used and have put nearly 4000 rounds through it with zero issues. I was so impressed with it (enough to put it on my ccw) that I recently bought a CZ75Compact in 40 that supposedly had a 'failure to feed' issue. At $200.00 (that is right; 2 crisp $100 bills for a virtually brand new pistol) in the factory case it was too good to pass up. After nearly 500 rounds the only issue it has is it is ammo sensitive and those problems are limited to the mags as far as I can tell. It eats 180 grn TMJ Miwall reloads like candy, has no issues with 185 grn Winchester Ranger hp's but boy it sure doesn't like 180 grn Hydra-shocks.

Go get yourself a CZ, spend less on it that most of the 'popular' guns and have money left over for alot of ammo.

Oh yeah, the tactical block and bayonet are way beyond 'tacticool' !!!! My wife about crapped when she saw it, LOL.

Try not cleaning it until 5,000 rounds. If carbon starts oozing out of the handgrips then just take them off and wipe lightly with some saliva and a paper towel.

Is the cz 75 lefty-friendly? I looked on the CZ website and it seems that the CZ 85 if for leftys but not available in Kali..

As a fellow lefty, I plan to get an SP-01, which has an ambidextrous safety but not an ambidextrous slide stop (just slingshot the slide), in the near future.

Mine are fantastic. they are the green dot that came on it. My CZ is very accurate and handles great. I enjoy shooting it. I do want to do somthing with the trigger - even after 1000 rounds it is still a bit rough.

Maybe I'll send it out for a trigger job, or as Ade says, maybe I'll just shoot another 1000 through it and see how it smooths out.
