    Range Report - Glock 23

Well, got to take the new gun to the range. Had a great time. Even though I continue to suck, I feel like I'm making progress. My buddy that went with me said he liked the way my gun felt better than the rental guns at the range. He was actually anti-glock, but is considering getting one now.

It's been less than a month since the first time I fired a firearm and I've already proselytized 2 friends. Hopefully I can convert more.

This was shot at about 10 yards. I know there are still a lot of strays out there. I'm obviously a work in progress.

Thanks guys. I hope to continue to improve. I have a hard time getting the front sight in focus. My eyes tend to try to focus on the target. Gotta keep at it I guess.

Is it bad to clean the glock after every range session. I've noticed people saying it may not be necessary but is it bad?

Not a bad group at all. Keep up your practice and you'll get better yet! I bought a 23 at LC Action's "Glock Days" and like it also.

Cleaning your Glock after every range session is good. You're not going to hurt it by doing so. Some folks don't think it's necessary, but longtime military and law enforcement training makes me feel uncomfortable putting a dirty weapon away in the safe.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

I don't think its bad for the gun. Maybe on you because of the chemicals but I wouldn't know for sure, I just don't like to be around all that lead/carbon/chemicals if I don't need to be. I'd use MPRO7 if you think you will be cleaning it regularly.

Dry fire practice to train your eyes.

            Good shootin!

After you convert more of your friends into shooters, don't forget to convert them into Calgunners.

I clean my guns after each session, whether they were fired once or a thousand times.
