Taking A Stab At This....

Ok, so I am keeping a Llama XI-B 9mm Parabellum for a family member who's father recently passed away. I have a safe, so they thought it is best kept in there. I was also told to take good care of it as it has sentimental value.

Anyways, I was showing it to my friend today and he insisted taking it apart and inspect it for rust as it has not been fired in a LONG time. I was reluctant at first but went ahead. ***Note to self - ALWAYS TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS!!*** Upon doing the break down, he broke the slide stop lever into three pieces. The pin that goes inside the receiver and holds the barrel in place is fine, but the lever on the outside that is attached to the pin broke in two places (it wasnt coming out easily).

So now i'm stuck feeling horrible because I broke a gun that I was supposed to be taking very good care of! And the worst part is that Llama is apparently out of business or something, so replacement parts are near impossible to come by. I've read that there is a "parts compatibility" website for the Llamas. Does anyone know where this is? I've searched and cant find it. Second, if anyone knows where I can find parts for this gun, I'd really appreciate if you could lead me in the right direction.

I don't know about Llama pistols... is it XI-B, or IX-B?

just fix it fast (clean before putting together) Make your buddy who BROKE it pay for the parts... I am sure you can find the pin or make one... Load a pic maybe we can help you out on it...

Learn your lesson to not let others play with something that's not yours. As soon as it hit your safe it should have been out of sight out of mind until it was time to return it.

JB Weld, anyone? LOL. I doubt that would work on suck a small and long part.

I've been looking around and noticed that the Llama Max-II appear from the pictures to have the same looking Slide Stop. Look at the slide stops below. Can anyone confirm if these are the same? They look IDENTICAL. I can buy one of those for about $27.

Looks like someone didn't know how to take it apart properly - didn't align the slide properly when pressing out the slide release, or left the magazine inserted, then pressed the bajeesus out of it.

Well, I ordered the part from the Max-I .45acp Hopefully it is the same size....looks exact! Only paid $12.50 out the door, so if it doesnt work, well it was worth the try at that price. I'll get it in a few days time and will update the post. Wish me luck! I'm gonna need it....
