Opinions on Glock 36?

Im considering getting one of these for CCW purpouses. Does the thinner width really make a noticable difference compared to 26,27 or 30?

Also, are there currently any reliability issues with this model? I would be buying it brand new.

The thinner width does make a noticeable difference. I have mine for carry and it is pretty comfortable. I was going to get one of the subcompact models you mentioned but they were too much like a brick for me...My G36 might be going up for sale soon to fund another purchase. It is lightly used and in great shape. Let me know if you would want it

a new 36 should be very reliable and accurate. The only thing is that it only holds 6 rounds(7 with extension) and unlike the 30 has no rail(if that matters).

The 36 is 1.13" wide vs 1.18" for the ones you mentioned. It seems to be a small difference but apperently it is noticable.

I have a glock 30 and you can tell the thickness to the glock 36.

I traded my super slim kahr black diamond P45 that was flawless for a G36 after a side by side shootout. The Glock 36 fit my hand better when actually firing the weapon got back on target faster and I liked the trigger reset better. It has shot everything I've fed it.
The G36 for me also has been flawless and carries like my COLT officers ACP.
I'ts my SHTF pistol for all occaisions.

My son wanted a G26 or a G19 I had him shoot those and the G36 guess what he chose the G36 over both the other Glocks.

try one out then you will know. I use to own a G19 and they share the same holsters very similar size.

width is only part of the equation. If you look at the 36 and the 17/19/26 from the magwell perspective you will notice that the magwells of the 9mms are closer to a square than the 36(double stack mag, shorter cartridge) and thicker mag body so the side panels of the 9mms are flat while that of the 36 is more of an oval at the grips, with the front section of the grip much more tapering than the 9mm grips, which helps the gun to fit some hands better.

the grip shapes of the two platform are vastly different. It depends on the individual.

What about the Glock 29. Thickness is 1.27" vs the 36's 1.13" and depth is 4.45" vs 4.76". the 29 has 10 rounds of 10 mm. Shorter, a bit thicker but more rounds.

My opinion? I really want one. It's on my list of next Glock to get.

Good gun. My 36 has never had a failure. Neither has my 19.

Two cons IMO: low cap and it's notorious for "pinky pinch". Also, and did I mention ammo is expensive as hell nowadays...

One more question, I got a supertuck holster for my g35, will this still work with the 36?

I've never had a pinch problem and if you load your own then cost is not an issue.
