My grandfather has an old S&W revolver. The model number is 599790. It is about 95%. Need help on model name and value of this revolver. It is a 32 S&W Long with a 3.25" barrel.

Open the cylinder on the revolver. Look at the crane (the hinge part) and it will have a model number stamped there. It should be a two digit number with possibly a dash then another number.
As a general rule, 32 S&W Long revolvers are not overly valuable since it's not considerred a good self defense round by many.

Pre model 31 Regulation Police
From your clues I would guess that you have a pre model 31 Regulation Police .32. The serial number puts it about 1950 production. The model 31 began in 1957, but I think yours predates that. This gun was available in 3.25, 4.25 and 6 inch barrels, so that fits your 3.25 inch barrel length.
According to the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, it might be worth $315 in very good condition or $375 in excellent + condition. If I were trying to sell it, I'd ask $400 here in CA and see if anybody went for it. The caliber is a little anemic and obsolete, so it would be of more value to a collector than a shooter.
