Does anyone familiar with fusion 1911? Looking for your advice.....Also, is legal to own in CA?

They are not on the droplist. But the owner, Bob Serva, is a good guy. I believe if you send him a Colt frame he will build it up for you.

I have a friend that has one. He purchased the scout kit and the overall fit is very tight. I have sent Bob an e-mail and he is willing to install a single shot slide on one of his frames. That way it can be DROS'ed as one of the exemptions.

The difficult part is finding the single shot slide. Pachmyer Dominator and the Springfield SASS has been discontinued for over a decade. There is a member here on calguns that has one though. Maybe he will be willing to let you borrow one if you ask nicely.

if fusion had a way to make or find a single shot slide and was willing to ship their kits to california I'd buy one right now. ive been trying to find a long slide 1911 for a while now and it was be so much easier to buy the prefit kit and add the parts to it. sounds like i need to get in touch with these guys and find out what the deal is.
