    painting xd-frame

Title says it all. Can it be done? Has anyone done this here? Anyone know of a shop in so cal that can paint frames? I am looking into painting the frame tan or coyote brown.

For a lo-tech color change, use the Krylon Fusion spray paint. Fair warning, don't expect it to adhere to the metal slide very well though.

If you seriously want to do the entire pistol, go with a complete refinishing kit like DuraCoat.

I'm planing on leaving the slide black. I kinda want the gun to look like their dark earth finish.

Krylon Fusion is canned spraypaint designed for plastic.

You should be able to find it in any hardware store and you can paint your XD in your back yard.

Just strip it down to the frame, mask off whatever you do not want painted and go to it. Shouldn't need to find a shop to do this for you.
