xd sc or glock sc

i am interested in all opinions. i would like to know which is "better"
the glock 26 or subcompact xd9, as i am interested in a subcompact

I'd start with the Glock 26. If that doesn't feel good in your hand, consider the XD9 Subcompact, Walther P99c, and HK P2000 SK.

The XD9 SC is pretty hard to find right now. I'm friends with an FFL who is a member at our club and I just bought an XD 40 Tactical through him. I had him price the XD9SC for me and he was only able to find one XD9 in black (plain sights). The SC with night sights is out of stock with his distributors.

I've been waiting on an XD SC .40 w/sights for a while from a local gun shop. IMO, the XDs are hard to beat. For me, they feel like an extension of the hand and not liking I'm holding a piece of metal (which is the feeling I get when I've held and shot Glocks.)

XD9 subcompact hands down. My buddy prefers it over his Glock 26. Also have the XD45ACP Service model to keep my XD9 company. It's all good!

Shoot both and let the gun do the deciding for you. I was once a Glock guy (owned a Glock 17 for years). After shooting the XD everything changed. You can't go wrong with either gun. But for me the XD SC would be the gun I would carry.

Try both guns and see what feels better FOR YOU. I learned to shoot on a Glock so Glocks feel "natural" to me but the XD aint bad either. They are very similar guns in the way the work. However, I can pretty much pick up most modern semi-autos and feel comfortable after a couple boxes ammo throught it. Some people are pickier than others. For subcompact try Glocks, XDs, HKP2000SK, Kahrs, S&W/Walther or even a SIG239(a little bigger). I heard the Glock is easier to maintain and upgrade with stock/aftermarket parts. something about Springfield is not making XD stock parts available so they are hard to find. This means if you need the gun fixed, you can't do it yourself and have to send it back to the shop, which could take a while. I like to have alot of extra parts available for each gun I own. Also, I like to KISS(Keep It Simple Stupid) because Murphy's law says "if something can go wrong, it will" so i am not a big fan of the grip safety cuz it's something else that can go wrong(probably won't though). I've always thought that Browning got rid of the grip safety feature that he put in the 1911 when he designed the Hi-Power because he realized it wasn't that necessary and actually could cause problems. Also the issue of trigger reset(XDs is longer, which slows down the follow-up shots).

I have shot both side by side and even at the same time . The glock is the smaller of the two and IMO built better. The XD has a longer grips and wider slide. The trigger on the XD feels better to most people but for me its the glock. The glock has the better finsh that you never have to worry about rust. Word is Springfield will be changing the finish on the XD's but until its field tested like the glock I don't trust it.

For me the glock fits my needs better but I would not be totally opposed toand XD.
