Are glocks ugly?

As compared to something like this S&W Registered Magnum....

Yeah, a Glock is going to be butt friggin' ugly.
But in the sense that like the above it is completely reliable and does what it needs to do pretty much without fail.... the Glock is a thing of beauty.

Ugly?
Hell no, not in my book at least. Beautiful simplisity. No B.S. no games just all buisness.
Like a professional hooker, there for one purpose and one purpose only. To get the job done, ride her hard and put her away wet.
Whats no beautiful about that. There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

i think the glock aesthetic is awesome. it looks like a tool. it looks purposeful and the geometry is intentional. imho the aesthetics looked designed to parallel the build philosophy.
there's plenty of guns out there where the design says that the external and internals were done seperately and then later incorporated.
it's like a tool bin. the contents probably were not bought because they looked pretty. but tools gain beauty by their functionality, durability and reliability. anything else is just not a good tool. IMHOOriginally posted by bubbapug1how to make a sig better...trade it in for a glock.Comment

My moneys on the registered magnum for reliability. Unless you plan on dropping your gun into a mountain of elephant dung, running it over with a cadillac eldorado, freezing it in a bag of chicken feet, and dropping it from traffic copter 1 into rush hour traffic before you go to the range. Then I'll take the glock.

They're only ugly until you own one, then somehow God parts the heavens and bestows you with the wisdom of Glock beauty. It's definitely and acquired look, that has grown on me after buying one. Since then I've now bought two and I'm planning on at least one more Glock.
The 1911 and Sigs are much more appealing to the eye, but when I'm shooting, all I see is my sights. So the function to me is key.OCSD Approved CCW Instructor
