    Aftermarket trigger

My friend in NY had a S&W 1911 trigger installed in his Kimber Raptor -- it gave him a low poundage trigger pull, but would not reset. The smith who installed it "fixed it" and now the gun either has a ten pound trigger pull or goes full auto, I say it's sear engagement is off, The gunsmith "swears" the sear wasn't touched by him. Thoughts?

    That's no 'Smith, that's a plumber.

If the "Smith" didn't fool with sear engagement angles, I'd bet that the "Smith" tried to bend the sear spring to get the trigger to reset, and the sear spring is now preventing the disconnector from doing it's job.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.
