Glock 17 AA .22 Conversion Kit, Accuracy issues

I seem to be able to shoot my fairly new G17 accurately, but when I throw on the AA kit, they seem to be all over the place... any advice?

It almost doesn't seem like it's me.

Could be the ammo you're using. .22LR can be very inconsistent from some manufacturers. Bench the gun if you can and then start trying different brands of ammo. Luckily, a box of 50rnds is so cheap you can buy one of nearly every brand and still not break $100.

Hmm... and I've been using CCI Minimags.

      Any more advice?

        Try different ammo.

Is it new? Is the barrel crown dinged? Is the lighter weight of the AA kit throwing you off?

I would say ammo as well at first look. Have you tried shooting some match grade stuff yet? And if you did, did that help close up the groups?

the thing about that kit is its very picky with ammo... if minimags dont work well try remmy golden bullets.... but really the minis should be working fine...
did you buy it new from factory? hopefully theres not somthing up with the barrel...

I only shoot federal through my G17 AA conversion. Runs fine until it gets dirty and then it starts to jam. As far as accuracy goes, mine isn't that great either.

MiniMags aren't as great as many people make them out to be. I've had nothing but trouble with them. Currently, I am using SK Standard Plus match-grade ammo and am getting fantastic accuracy with them

Most important, it's whatever your particular gun/kit prefers. .22LR guns are so finicky, you simply have to try different brands until you find the one(s) your gun likes.

                    Hi
40 grain has been the best for me. That means no hollowpoint...Remington makes it.

But my S&W mdl 22 will out shoot the Glock conversion, as far as true accuracy goes...

I did not expect the conversion to be real accurate as in a true built 22, other variables to contend with...

But it is good for using the Glock and handling and pulling trigger and becoming one with the pistol for a lot less cost in ammo...
Got to shoot up a lot, to off set the original price of AA conversion...

But it is good, because it fits the Glock mdl 22, also...Makes it worth the purchase...

                    One other thing...

The mdl 17 I have, has a 3.5 trigger pull and the mdl 22, has a 5 or so...

So as you can see the 17 should be more accurate... and is, but the AA conversion works for both...
And for the reasons I mentioned, was a good purchase for me...

                    Ps.

I have a Ceiner also, prefer the AA. 40 grn Remington, in the Ceiner, is a must

Practice, practice, practice. I did do a test on a bench rest at 20 yards. While using Rem GB the first 10 rounds of my groupings were all on a 3" shoot-n-c target.

Funny, I'm the opposite. I'm all over the place with my G17 in normal configuration but once I throw in the AA conversion I get way more accurate. Don't really have any advice for you except shoot more to get used to it.

What OP's problem is, he anticipates recoil and has done that for some time.
He has adapted and handles it well in his normal shooting.

Glock 9mm, has more recoil than the 22, so...
                          He is showing his faults.

As mentioned, shoot more and use the 40 grain ammo.

lighter weight plus spongy trigger = accurracy issues
as recommended bench the gun first
