Do you guys think the loaded chamber indicator on the mkIII hinders reliability?
I have a MKIII Hunter and IMHO the LCI does NOT hinder reliability.

The Buckmark and Mk I/II/II are different enough that most prefer one or the other.

Both are great guns. The Browning may be more accurate out-of-the-box, but the Ruger is more customizable... both will outshoot any but the most expert pistolero.

If you find one (not likely, but they're out there) grab a Norinco TT-Olympia. An all-steel copy of the Walther Olympia target pistol. Quite accurate, great trigger, reliable as a baseball bat. The only downsides are the mags only hold 8 rounds (and replacements are scarce and about sixty bucks each), and the (very comfortable) grips look like they were checkered by a drunk guy with a fork.

Any Hi-Standard, used S&W, or Colt Woodsman will also serve you well for the rest of your natural life. And your grandkids' lives.

After you spend some quality time with your brass-chucker, you'll get a hankerin' for a Single Six. Submit to that hankerin'... you won't regret it.

.22 pistols are just fun. If a .22 pistol, a brick of bulk ammo, and a bunch of empty Coke cans doesn't add up to a perfect afternoon, sell all of your guns and take up golf... you just don't get it.
