    Installing trijicon night sights

Anyone know a place in the bay area that can install a tijicon night sight for my p226? Good work and affordable is a plus. I currently reside in the east bay so somewhere close would be great.

    Irvington Arms.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

You can borrow the site pusher from members over at SigForum. I have one now on loan from someone on that site. It's really easy to change them out. If you want to come to Sac, we can change them out this weekend. Yesterday I swapped the sights on my 228 for the standard 8/8 sights. I'll probably head to the range this weekend to sight-in my 228.

Is there any where else besides Irvington? I asked them how much they charged and a worker there said $40. I thought that was pretty expensive.

I think $40 is about average.

$40 is about right. I was charged that a long time ago (ten years or more) by Bolsa Gunsmithing. They laser bore-sighted it then test-fired it in a clamped benchrest. Did a great job, too.

Although, I ended up installing my last set of night sights myself on my Glock, using a front sight hex socket wrench borrowed from a friend, blue loctite, a hammer, a pair of digital calipers, a laser bore sighter, and a steel punch (brass is probably better--wood even better than that). Compared to the cost of all those tools, $40 is a steal.

Is that their regular price or did they just give you a good deal?

Im not sure. He only installed my rear sight and it took him about 5 minutes. Call and ask them. It didnt sound like their gunsmith was in the shop everyday. 650 588 4209 is their number

Try Pacific Arms, they've installed a few for friends - free if bought there, probably $20.00 max if not.

Call Diablo Valley in Pleasant Hill and check - I just dropped off my Kimber for an install.
